Santa Rosa 4x4s - Home

Welcome to the Santa Rosa 4x4s Club

Santa Rosa 4x4's Inc. is a non-profit, family-oriented four-wheel drive club located in Santa Rosa, California, in the heart of Sonoma County Wine Country. We pride ourselves in welcoming families, singles, and people with all levels of off-road experience and types of vehicles.

Formed in 1970, today's members of the Santa Rosa 4x4's still uphold the traditions that its founders envisioned: participating in safe, responsible, and fun off-road recreation; providing and partaking in social and educational activities as they relate to off-roading; and upholding land management and soil conservation practices.

We are also a proud member of the California Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs, Inc.

If you think you would like to become a member of our long-standing organization, or would just like to come along on a run, we would like to extend an invitation for you to attend our next monthly club meeting. We look forward to meeting you!

We have recently created on online forum for everyone to use, you are encouraged to check the forum for updated information, questions, new activities and what the club is up to. We try to monitor both frequently, however the forum is easier to communicate on. You can view the forum from the column on the left or simply click this link: http://santarosa4x4s.11.forumer.com/index.php

InGear4x4.com

Off-road news from the California Association of 4WD Clubs, Inc. and the In Gear magazine.

  • Ingear4x4.com and cal4wheel.com have merged

We listened to our membership and have recently completed merging the content from ingear4x4.com with cal4wheel.com. Please use cal4wheel.com as your primary source for news and information about the California Association of 4WD Clubs.

And don't forget to change your bookmarks! Thank you to all who offered comments on the recent change.

One piece of equipment that often gets overlooked, however, happens to be one of the more critical items: a fire extinguisher. Remember that a fire could occur inside or outside your vehicle. Ever wonder what you’d do if your campfire or stove got out of hand? Or if your engine compartment started smoking? You may never experience a fire–and I hope you don’t–but if you do, you’ll be thankful you packed an extinguisher. Many smaller fires can be snuffed out quickly and safely.

Extinguishers come in many sizes. I’ve found the 3 lb.

  • Wanted: GPS coordinates

Many members have requested GPS coordinates and maps for our CA4WDC events and club runs. You can help us compile that information by sending any GPS coordinates that you have collected for the following events:

    • Hi Desert Round-Up base camp - Stoddard Valley OHV Area
    • High Sierra Poker Run base camp - Sierra National Forest on the Swamp Lake Trail
    • Sierra Trek base camp - Cisco Grove
    • Operation Desert Fun base camp - Ocotillo Wells SVRA
    • Panamint Valley Days base camp - Panamint Valley near Trona
    • Moonlight Madness base camp - Bald Mountain, Sierra National Forest

Coordinates to popular trailheads would be helpful too. This will allow us to build better maps and provide clearer information to attendees.
